School holiday programs in the sanctuaries

It’s of wide consensus that kids are spending more time inside – so we have put together a number of outdoor, nature play based events for kids these holidays to encourage them to step outside. Being located in the north and south of Canberra, there are activities near you.

SHO with Banks

North Canberra – Mulligans Flat, Forde.

Be the bettong: Build a nest, discover a digging and make some craft all inside the pristine and critically endangered woodlands. $10 per child. Book tickets here: https://mulligansflat.org.au/event/btb2/

Hollow Homes: You have a comfy bed in a nice safe, warm house, but wild animals don’t live in houses – they live in trees! Meet a bettong: Meet our ‘Ambassador’ bettong and enjoy a talk by one of our Ecologists about the biology of these rare creatures and their comeback at Mulligans Flat. $5 per person. Book tickets here: https://mulligansflat.org.au/event/mab6/
