Get involved and support Australia’s threatened species and their habitats

The Mulligans Flat Woodland Sanctuary and Jerrabomberra Wetlands Nature Reserve have the potential to be sites of national and international significance – they are Canberra’s living laboratories. Committing to set up a scientifically monitored and managed site in perpetuity is a very big ask, only done to date in one or two places on the planet and on a much smaller scale. Those sites have revealed much more about the world - not just ecology - than they were ever thought to do. This could be just as powerful and important well beyond my lifetime.

Please join me not only for the future of these places, but also for scientific outcomes that we cannot yet imagine.”

Help us bring back the bandicoot!

The Southern Brown Bandicoot was once common in south-east Australia however has not been recorded in the ACT in the wild since 2003. The species has experienced severe population decline since European settlement primarily due to fox predation and habitat loss. Help Wildbark work with our partners to bring back this ecosystem engineer and restore our sanctuary landscape.

Seat Sponsorship

Seat sponsorship at Mulligans Flat Woodland Sanctuary provides an opportunity for philanthropic donations towards visitor infrastructure within the Sanctuary and the Visitor Centre, as well as a way for the community to commemorate a life event or celebrate a loved one.

Seats at the Sanctuary are carved out of sustainably sourced native logs made by local artist, Paul Jameson. They are around 2 metres in length and each one is unique in its shape. Each seat includes a single bronze plaque attached for 10 years.

Applications for seat sponsorship are open to individuals, groups, clubs and businesses. Seat sponsorship is $6500 and is GST free and tax deductible. Corporate sponsorship for premium placement of seats and other infrastructure is also available. Please contact the Trust for more information: admin_support@woodlandsandwetlands.org.au
